How to Save Big at Hello Hello Plants
Love a bargain? So do we!
At Hello Hello Plants, we occasionally clear out our “Perfectly Imperfect” stock to make room for new arrivals.
This means thousands of plants are marked down to rock-bottom prices, but there’s a catch: You have to come and find them!
Our Clearance Sale is a legendary In-Store Only event at our Campbellfield nursery.
We don’t list these deals online because they move too fast!
💬 A Message from Chris
Hello, Hello!
As one of the highest-turnover retail nurseries in Australia, we have truckloads of fresh plants arriving every single day. Naturally, customers pick the absolute best of the bunch first. This leaves behind the odd plant that might be slightly bent, have a few burnt leaves, a couple of weeds, or is sitting a bit crooked in its pot.
Over time, these plants build up, and we need to clear them out to make way for beautiful new stock. That’s where you win! You’ll find plants that used to be $30 marked down to $6, $12 plants for just $2, and even giant trees originally over $100 going for $20. There are even fruit trees in there for $10!
It’s unbelievable value for those willing to look past a minor imperfection. Come in, find a bargain, and help us clear the decks!
Your 4-Step Guide to the Clearance Zone
1. Follow the Footprints
When you arrive at our front entrance at 1477 Sydney Road, Campbellfield, look down! You’ll see a trail of footprints starting right at the front door. Don’t get distracted by the shiny new arrivals, follow those prints all the way to the very back of the nursery.
2. Reach the Clearance Zone
The footprints lead to our dedicated Clearance Section. This is where the magic happens. Grab a trolley (or three) and prepare to explore.
Our clearance stock changes constantly, but you can typically find incredible deals on:
Feature Trees & Fruit Trees (Great for instant impact on a budget)
Hedges & Screening (Perfect for large projects)
Native Grasses & Shrubs
Flowering Perennials & Succulents
3. Crack the Colour Code
Every plant in the clearance zone is marked with a specific coloured tag. Forget the price on the pot—the tag colour is the only price that matters:
RED TAG
$2
GREEN TAG
$4
ORANGE TAG
$6
YELLOW TAG
$10
BLUE TAG
$20
4. Load Up and Save
This is a “First In, Best Dressed” event. We do not restock clearance items once they are gone. If you see a $20 Feature Tree or a $2 Groundcover that you love, put it in your trolley immediately!

👣 READY TO HUNT?
Put on your walking shoes and follow the footprints to the back of the nursery!
Right now is one of the best times of year to plant. While many people think spring is ideal, autumn offers the perfect conditions for strong plant establishment. The rains begin to arrive, temperatures become milder, and the soil remains warm, creating an excellent environment for root growth.
When planted now, plants settle into warm soil where evaporation is much lower than in the hotter months. This means moisture stays in the ground longer and newly planted plants require less frequent watering. Within days, fresh white roots begin forming as plants respond quickly to these favourable conditions.
In Victoria, the period from autumn through to Christmas is generally gentle, with moderate temperatures and consistent moisture. This allows plants to quietly develop strong root systems through autumn and winter.
By the time spring arrives, these well established plants are ready to grow vigorously. Planting in spring instead gives plants less time to establish before the heat of summer arrives, which can cause stress.
Planting now gives your plants the best possible start, setting them up for strong growth and resilience through the seasons ahead.

If there’s one plant that captures the spirit of Lunar New Year, it’s the Mandarin Orange Tree. In Chinese culture, fruiting mandarins symbolise luck, prosperity and wealth, which is why they’re often displayed near entrances and living spaces during the festive season. The bright orange fruit represents gold and success, while a tree heavy with fruit is believed to attract abundance for the year ahead.
At Hello Hello, we stock a beautiful range including Imperial, Emperor, Afourer, Clementine, Japanese Seedless, Murcott, Hickson and Ellendale, plus compact dwarf varieties perfect for smaller spaces. In Australia, mandarins naturally fruit around Lunar New Year, making them especially meaningful. They thrive in full sun, handle heat well, and offer both ornamental beauty and delicious fruit — a perfect blend of tradition and practicality.

Growing Heuchera in Australian Conditions
Heuchera grows best in part shade to filtered light and should be protected from harsh afternoon sun during hot Australian summers. Morning sun with afternoon shade provides ideal conditions. Free-draining, organic-rich soil is essential, and heavy clay should be improved with compost. Water moderately while establishing, then reduce watering once mature, as Heuchera is drought-tolerant but dislikes waterlogged soil, especially in winter. It is well suited to Victoria, Tasmania, cooler regions of NSW and South Australia, and can be grown in warmer climates in shaded positions or containers. Once established, Heuchera is frost tolerant.
