Diospyros kaki 

The Fuyu Japanese persimmon is a non-astringent variety that lacks a core, seeds, and tannins. The flavour of the Vanilla Kaki persimmon is rich and sweet, with tasting notes of pear, apricot, and a hint of bourbon vanilla.
Self-fertile, it does not require cross-pollination with other species, but can benefit when cross-pollination occurs.

Diospyros kaki 

This Japanese Persimmon is a medium-sized tree with an upright habit. It produces large, flat deep orange fruits that resemble tomatoes.
The fruit is a non-astringent variety, so can be eaten while still firm.
