DescriptionMagnolia grandifora Magnolia 'Big Gem™️' is a lusciously large evergreen Magnolia. The leaves are large and pointed with less gloss than other Magnolias. Along with the large leaves are gorgeously bright, white and heavily fragrant big flowers in the warmer months. They are quite hardy trees, tolerating most soil and weather conditions and make wonderful feature hedges, large shade trees or specimen plants. Trademark applied for by Lucas finance. See our Magnolia & Michelia - Evergreen Factsheet here for more about the different Magnolia Michelia varieties!

24"/60cm pot - Approx 2.2-2.5m, very bushy!

Luma apiculata

Myrtus Luma is the medium to tall hedge with real traditional style. A lot of people believe the only fast growing larger hedge with fine foliage is the Pittosporum. It is an extraordinarily versatile plant suitable for hedging, screening, topiary, or as a specimen tree, but its small, aromatic leaves respond so well to pruning that it is commonly used as a hedge. Myrtus luma also makes a wonderful specimen tree if left unpruned. With age it forms an outstanding trunk with cinnamon brown branches. Its bark peels to reveal streaks of pink and beige. What a plant! It really should be seen more in Australian gardens.

Cupressus macrocarpa

Monterey Cypress or Western District Cypress a large evergreen tree conifer which lives long and grows large in perfect conditions. Native to coastal California, it suits coastal conditions and has the unique tendancy to be "sculptured" by the wind over time as it grows. The foliage grows in dense sprays, bright green in color. The leaves are scale-like and produced on rounded shoots. Makes a good windbreak in coastal areas.
