Salvia longistyla x farinacea

One of the smallest of the Salvia family, 'Mystic Spires' produce broad, green leaves with blooms of dark blue atop long stems. Salvia's will bloom throughout the season if deadheaded regularly. Pruning after flowering is finished will ensure strong bushy regrowth for the next season. Salvia 'Mystic Spires' are suitable for pots, planters and full sun to part shade positions in the garden. Though thought of as a Cottage perennial, they suit a wide range of applications, including mass planting in Modern or Lush & Leafy gardens. Jacaranda mimosifolia

The Jacaranda tree puts on a breathtaking floral display. Its vivid lilac-blue clusters of trumpet shaped blossoms appear in the summer, later falling to the earth carpeting the ground with a mass of colour. Pittosporum tenuifolium

Perfect Pillar is a bushy, dense, fast growing Pittosporum with a neat rounded habit and glossy pale-green foliage. Although brown, the flowers are quite insignificant but offer a honey smell during Spring. Perfect for screening and hedging. Grows to 3-4m in height and 3m wide.

Betula pendula youngii 'Weeping Silver Birch'

Weeping Silver Birch is a beautiful tree that is medium sized. Grows best in a position of full sun to partial shade. Silver Birch is great for larger gardens and parks etc. It's bark remains white at the base. This tree is easy to grow and will thrive in most types of soil. Bird of Paradise are native to South Africa, and are very hardy and can be grown in full sun to part shade. They get their name from their exotic blue/orange flowers that resemble the head of a colourful tropical bird.

Bird of Paradise have large, lush foliage and look great when used in rockeries and interplanted with yuccas and agaves. Great for creating a tropical feel in the garden.

We refer to these as "Flowering Bird of Paradise" or Strelitzia Bird of Paradise (a bit of a mouthful that comes from their botanical name) because there is another variety of Bird of Paradise called Giant Bird of Paradise. These have much bigger leaves, are taller growing, and are often planted together with Flowering Bird of Paradise to create a multi-layered, tropic garden effect even as far south as Melbourne.
