Leucadendron salignum

Featuring beautiful burgundy red colour throughout Autumn and Winter. Suitable for cut flowers, Leucadendron are equally at home in garden beds or on display in pots and containers. Ensure an Australian native potting mix and fertilizer is used if growing in pots, and select a pot with adequate drainage holes as these plants do not like to be waterlogged. Plants in this family are very low maintenance, light frost and drought tolerant once established. Proteas are suitable for a variety of soil types but they must be in a well drained soil.  Prefers a full sun to part shade position. 6''/14cm pot
