| Description | Pinus patula
A tall, evergreen pine tree with a distinctive drooping habit. Pale green to yellowish green needles are held in groups of three. Useful as a specimen tree in large parks. Frost and drought tolerant.
Plant in a well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilise when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune to shape if necessary.
