Description

Aloe barbadensis

Aloe Vera is a very useful succulent to have in the garden, and no Aussie home should be without one. Use the juice from the leaves straight on skin to moisturize, heal sunburn and other skin irritations and problems naturally.

Hydrangea macrophylla 'White'

Masses of colour during spring to summer, Hydrangea are used for cut flowers, hedging or as a gloriously colourful feature • Large, white clusters of flowers in a ball shape. The colour doesn't change from the pH of the soil • Lose their leaves in winter, where they can be trimmed right back • Prefer part to full shade positions

6"/14cm pot size

Luma apiculata

Myrtus Luma is the medium to tall hedge with real traditional style. A lot of people believe the only fast growing larger hedge with fine foliage is the Pittosporum. It is an extraordinarily versatile plant suitable for hedging, screening, topiary, or as a specimen tree, but its small, aromatic leaves respond so well to pruning that it is commonly used as a hedge. Myrtus luma also makes a wonderful specimen tree if left unpruned. With age it forms an outstanding trunk with cinnamon brown branches. Its bark peels to reveal streaks of pink and beige. What a plant! It really should be seen more in Australian gardens.

Quercus robur

English Oaks are famous for being solid and strong. The trunk and secondary branches are very solid and are covered in thick blackish-grey bark which makes it quite a sight. The autumn foliage is a rich, dark brown. As the foliage is smaller than other deciduous trees, fallen leaves are not particularly difficult to eliminate and will not clog drains. 10"/25cm pot
