Description

Luma apiculata

Myrtus Luma is the medium to tall hedge with real traditional style. A lot of people believe the only fast growing larger hedge with fine foliage is the Pittosporum. It is an extraordinarily versatile plant suitable for hedging, screening, topiary, or as a specimen tree, but its small, aromatic leaves respond so well to pruning that it is commonly used as a hedge. Myrtus luma also makes a wonderful specimen tree if left unpruned. With age it forms an outstanding trunk with cinnamon brown branches. Its bark peels to reveal streaks of pink and beige. What a plant! It really should be seen more in Australian gardens.

Cornus kousa var Chinensis, Kousa Dogwood, Chinese Dogwood

This is arguably the world's most beautiful dogwood, with a fabulous show of white flowers in spring, and magnificent autumn colour. A beautiful small (up to 4m) deciduous feature tree and is extremely beautiful when in bloom.  Flowering season is late spring, weeks after the tree puts on foliage again. 8" pot size

Princess De Monaco Rose

A bi-coloured beauty of ivory white and medium pink. Vertical, hardy growth. 8" pot size, approximately 2ft in height. Available online ONLY - Not in store.

Leucadendron tinctum

A medium-sized native shrub with lime green, cream and pink blush cone-shaped flowers that appear from Spring. Plant in full sun with well-drained soils. Frost and drought tolerant when established. It will reach 1.5m tall if un-pruned. 6"/14cm pot

Acmena smithii 'Allyn Magic'

Acmena Smithii ‘Allyn Magic’ is a native Australian, compact Lilly Pilly with shiny green foliage. New foliage is a dull orange rather than red, and as a dwarf variety it doesn't grow much taller than 2ft. Great for a low hedge or border and even in pots. Lilly Pillies grow well in most types of soil, preferring a position of full sunlight or partial shade. They respond well to shaping so are excellent hedges and screens. Hardy, drought and frost tolerant. 12"/30cm pot
ContentRoses are easily one of the most popular and widely cultivated groups of flowering plants. Numerous different cultivars have been produced over the last two centuries, although roses have been grown for millennia before their popularity bloomed. Renowned for their flowers and beauty, they are also loved for other reasons such as their fruit. The rose hip can be made into an old fashioned jam. Roses range in size and variety from your standard and bush roses to climbers and weeping varieties. Amongst all their beautiful colours, varieties and fragrances there is bound to be the perfect rose out there for your garden.
