| Description | Banksia integrifolia
Banksia integrifolia or ‘Coastal Banksia’ is a hardy native found down the Eastern coastline of Australia. Often seen in windswept and sculptural shapes along beach fronts, when placed in a less hostile environment, they can become quite beautiful, bushy specimen plants. They grow anywhere between 4m - 10m and 1m - 5m wide, depending on their environment. During autumn and winter their yellow flowers form into large cones, rich with nectar. These stunning flowers attract lots of bird life, particularly cockatoos and honey-eaters. Coastal Banksia is a slow grower and can handle a wide range of soil types.

Escallonia Iveyi is a quick growing, evergreen plant with fragrant white flowers in summer. Ideal for hedges, borders or screening.
It is particulary hardy and will cope with coastal conditions as well as a hot, dry location, but does not cope with humidity. Frost hardy and drought tolerant once established. Plant 70cm apart for hedges and borders.

Burgundy Tea Tree is a tall, fast growing shrub with striking burgundy coloured foliage and an abundance of white flowers in spring. It makes an excellent selection for a background plant, screen or hedge particularly because of its fine tea tree foliage and burgundy colour. It has a gentle weeping habit and can also be used as a lovely addition to a cut flower arrangement. Burgundy Tea Tree is an evergreen shrub that suits coastal locations and attracts birds. This is arguably the world's most beautiful dogwood, with a fabulous show of white flowers in spring, and magnificent autumn colour. A beautiful small (up to 4m) deciduous feature tree and is extremely beautiful when in bloom. Flowering season is late spring, weeks after the tree puts on foliage again.
