Pink buds open into white flowers, in springtime, later producing a rounded metallic blue fruit, maturing to black. It is perfect for screening and hedging, plus is very tolerant of shade and salt spray. Suited to a range of climates and not bothered by pests or disease. | Philodendron hastatumA very rare and unusual philodendron with silver, almost metallic-looking foliage. Has a strong climbing habit, so needs a post, log, trellis, or tree to grow on. Set the Philodendron in a location with bright, indirect sunlight. While it’s normal for older leaves to yellow, if this happens to several leaves at the same time, the plant may be getting too much light.
