DescriptionIt is a no-fuss, set and forget controlled release plant food ideal for vegetables, tomatoes, and herbs growing in pots, tubs, barrels, or raised beds. It is the smart way to fertilize – one application feeds continuously for up to six months • Contains 6 months feed • Plus trace elements • No Surge Growth • For use with vegetables, tomatoes and herbs FEATURES
  • The release of nutrients depends on temperature - more when it's warm and plants are growing and less when it's cold and growth is slow
  • Scotts Osmocote® uses advanced prill technology that ensures even and controlled nutrient release with no wastage
  • Controlled release means feeding less often and more effectively; less frequent feeding is more economical and environment-friendly
  • Wetting agent enhances water absorption into the soil or potting mix and helps plants take up nutrients
  • Boosted levels of iron & magnesium and other trace elements keep leaves greener for longer and promote healthy growth
SUITABLE FOR
  • Tomatoes, capsicums, chillies, zucchinis, cucumbers, pumpkins, peas and beans
  • Leafy vegetables like cabbage, kale, broccoli, brussels sprouts and lettuce
  • Root vegetables including carrots, parsnips, onions, garlic, turnips, swedes and sweet potatoes
  • All herbs - soft seasonal varieties and shrubby herbs like rosemary and thyme

Bird of Paradise are native to South Africa, and are very hardy and can be grown in full sun to part shade. They get their name from their exotic blue/orange flowers that resemble the head of a colourful tropical bird.

Bird of Paradise have large, lush foliage and look great when used in rockeries and interplanted with yuccas and agaves. Great for creating a tropical feel in the garden.

We refer to these as "Flowering Bird of Paradise" or Strelitzia Bird of Paradise (a bit of a mouthful that comes from their botanical name) because there is another variety of Bird of Paradise called Giant Bird of Paradise. These have much bigger leaves, are taller growing, and are often planted together with Flowering Bird of Paradise to create a multi-layered, tropic garden effect even as far south as Melbourne.
