| Description | Sambucus nigra 'Black Beauty®' Elderberry Common elder, bears sprays of small white flowers in summer followed by small black fruit which can be cooked and eaten. 'Black Beauty®' has almost black foliage and lemon scented, pale pink flowers in summer. Compared to common elder, it’s a much more ornamental option. It works well when planted on its own or as part of a hedge. For best results, grow in moist but well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. Cut plants back after fruiting, if desired. | Escallonia IveyiEscallonia Iveyi is a quick growing, evergreen plant with fragrant white flowers in summer. Ideal for hedges, borders or screening. It is particulary hardy and will cope with coastal conditions as well as a hot, dry location, but does not cope with humidity. Frost hardy and drought tolerant once established.
