Description

Luma apiculata

Myrtus Luma is the medium to tall hedge with real traditional style. A lot of people believe the only fast growing larger hedge with fine foliage is the Pittosporum. It is an extraordinarily versatile plant suitable for hedging, screening, topiary, or as a specimen tree, but its small, aromatic leaves respond so well to pruning that it is commonly used as a hedge. Myrtus luma also makes a wonderful specimen tree if left unpruned. With age it forms an outstanding trunk with cinnamon brown branches. Its bark peels to reveal streaks of pink and beige. What a plant! It really should be seen more in Australian gardens.

Polygala myrtifolia x dalmaisiana

Polygala Dazzler is a shrub that originates from South Africa and has attractive, almost year round, purple pea-like flowers on light green foliage. It makes a great flowering hedge. Polygala Dazzler prefers a well-drained position, but tolerates poor soils, frost and dry conditions. Pruning in early Spring will encourage bushiness and flowers. Best feed regularly with a slow release fertiliser. 10" pot size.
Rosa floribunda Seafoam is a semi-weeping floribunda rose with pale pink to white clusters. It is popular as a weeping standard or climber and the flower attains a tinge of pink in cooler climates. Available online ONLY or by preorder over the phone - Not stocked in store.

Escallonia Iveyi

Escallonia Iveyi is a quick growing, evergreen plant with fragrant white flowers in summer. Ideal for hedges, borders or screening. It is particulary hardy and will cope with coastal conditions as well as a hot, dry location, but does not cope with humidity. Frost hardy and drought tolerant once established.  Plant 70cm apart for hedges and borders. 6" pot size, approximately 15-25cm in height.

Cornus kousa var Chinensis, Kousa Dogwood, Chinese Dogwood

This is arguably the world's most beautiful dogwood, with a fabulous show of white flowers in spring, and magnificent autumn colour. A beautiful small (up to 4m) deciduous feature tree and is extremely beautiful when in bloom.  Flowering season is late spring, weeks after the tree puts on foliage again. 8" pot size

Radish

This beautiful coloured Radish not only tastes great but looks superb on a plate with its multi coloured appearance. Plant in a full sun to part shade location with well drained soil. 4''/10cm pot
ContentRoses are easily one of the most popular and widely cultivated groups of flowering plants. Numerous different cultivars have been produced over the last two centuries although roses have been grown for millennia before their popularity bloomed. Renown for their flowers and beauty they are also loved for other reasons such as their fruit, the rose hip which can be made into an old fashioned jam or for garden uses such as ground covers and hedging. Roses range in size and variety from your standard and bush roses right up there with your climbers and weeping varieties, amongst all their beautiful colour, variety and hardy nature there is bound to be the perfect rose out there for your garden.
