Castanea sativa Emerald Gem Chestnut is a fast growing, deciduous, medium tree with large, green leaves with massed clusters of scented, white with yellow-red speckled flowers in Spring followed by edible, dark brown nuts encased in a prickly, golden burr in Autumn. Ideal for full sun in large gardens. Requires cold Winters and two different varieties for satisfactory fruiting. 13''/33cm pot
