Description

Prunus avium 'Lapins'

The Lapins Cherry produce a large, dark fleshed fruit that is blissfully sweet. It is a late maturing cherry, the heavy crops of fruit appearing late in the season. Lapins are self-fertile, however they produce better from cross-pollination with another cherry tree of the same or a different variety, such as the Stella cherry. For a good crop of fruit, be sure to plant in a sunny position in fertile, well-draining soil and keep up the watering during summer. They would benefit from a feed in spring and summer whilst it is producing your juicy fruit! And don't forget to net your cherry trees! The "avium" in their name is latin for BIRD, for a reason you can probably guess! 12"/30cm pot
