Description

Callistemon "Candy Pink"

Candy Pink is a medium shrub that is incredibly adaptable. Its large flower spikes are a lovely dark pink colour and are borne in flushes virtually all year round after a flush of new growth happens. Candy Pink requires low maintenance and is suitable for coastal gardens. It is drought resistant. Likes a position of full sunlight to light shade. 6" pot size.

Cotinus Coggygria, Smoketree

Purple Smoke Bush is a gem in the garden thanks to it's unique blend of colours that change throughout the seasons. A large deciduous shrub or small tree, its beautiful eye-catching Spring foliage is green overlaid with purple. Summer brings deep purple foliage that then turns deep orange and bronze in a burst of glory for an Autumn show. Purple Smokebush gets its name from the clouds of smoke-like purple and pink "flowers" it produces in early Summer. These are very beautiful themselves, and are prized along with the foliage by florists. Grows best in full sun to partial shade and it is tolerant of drought and most soils, making it a great addition to many gardens. 10" pot size.
Betula pendula 'Dalecarlica' The Cut-Leaf Birch is a very graceful tree with distinctive feathery foliage and fine white bark. It is slender and graceful enough to be a part of a small garden without appearing too dominant, and is also effective in larger areas planted alone or in groups. A moderate growing and medium sized tree, ideal for either a small garden setup or even a larger forest-like vista, this tree will grow well in most soils in a sunny to part shade position. A beautiful specimen tree not to be looked over! 10"/25cm pot sizeA box hedging plant for the difficult garden. Box Leaf Privet are a great option for tall, narrow, non-flowering hedges. • Grows in any soils providing it's moderately draining • Does not like shady areas but will tolerate drought and frost • Fast growing
ContentWhy buy Box Leaf Privet? [one_half] [/one_half] [one_half_last] Box Leaf Privet is one of the most popular hedging plants as it grows all year round, it will grow in almost any soil or conditions, and if it is kept trimmed it looks as good or better than English Box. Box Leaved Privet loves hot sunny positions (they don’t do well in a shady corner) and almost any soil as long as it is moderately well drained. To create a dense bushy low hedge or border you only need to plant 4 plants per metre. Box Leaf Privet loves plenty of water, regular fertilising and regular trimming. Given these are provided, you will find that you can create a dense fine traditional or English Box style border in just one full growing season with very little cost.
  • Great for hedging and low borders
  • Fast growing
  • Drought and frost tolerant
Chris says: “For a fast growing box hedge that is versatile and hardy, you can’t go past the Box Leaf Privet. This attractive border plant is drought, salt AND frost tolerant and will grow in both full sun or part shade. It is a fantastic alternative that will look just as good if not better than the English Box. Check out our Box Leaf Privet fact sheet for more info. [/one_half_last]
