Description

Escallonia Iveyi

Escallonia Iveyi is a quick growing, evergreen plant with fragrant white flowers in summer. Ideal for hedges, borders or screening. It is particulary hardy and will cope with coastal conditions as well as a hot, dry location, but does not cope with humidity. Frost hardy and drought tolerant once established.  Plant 70cm apart for hedges and borders. 6" pot size, approximately 15-25cm in height.

Malus purpurea

The Purple Crab Apple makes a handsome small tree, quite round topped in maturity. With beautiful flowers which are a deep, red-purple colour creating an effect that looks almost unbelievably rich. A great specimen tree, in Autumn the Purple Crab Apple has dark purple fruit and leaves which turn shades of yellow and red. 13" pot size.

Buxus sempervirens variegata 'English Box' variegated

Variegated English Box produces small dark green foliage with a creamy-white edging that  adds a twist to the otherwise ordinary English Box. It is happily pruned and is ideal for pots, low borders & edging or topiary's. It grows best in full sun but can tolerate partial shade. It prefers a well draining soil and adequate water in the warmer months. 16" pot size. (Topiary ball)

Coleonema pulchellum aurea

Golden Diosma is one of the most popular garden shrubs. It has fine, small bright green-gold foliage which darkens in summer. Fragrant flowers and leaves release a beautiful scent when brushed past. 6''/14cm pot

Ficus microcarpa hillii 'Emerald'

Ficus 'Emerald' has a glossier and deeper, emerald green foliage compared with that of the 'Flash' and 'Hill's Weeping' ficus. This rich green foliage matches well with Buxus English Box, particularly in a formal setting. 'Emerald' ficus are quite tolerant of poor soil conditions and hot or windy weather conditions, growing well in both full sun to part shade positions. It does not, however, like the touch of frost. For care instructions and additional information, click here! 12"/30cm pot size, approximately 3ft in height, with a thicker advanced trunk

Buxus bodinieri

Shaggy Box is so named due to its slightly drooping habit, which makes for an unusual box hedge.  Native to China it is usually found on mountain slopes and forests and as a result, has a high frost tolerance. It will take 10 years to reach 1 metre in height, but definately worth the wait!

Shaggy Box is ideal to hedge, can be used as an individual shrub and would look equally good in a pot. This is a slow growing plant that reaches approximately 1m in height. It  performs best in part shade locations. Ideal for pots, topiary and even bonsai.

16''/40cm pot - shaped in a topiary ball
