ContentFuchsias are delightful flowering perennials that showcase a stunning variety of shapes and sizes. With over 100 species found in nature, most garden varieties are hybrids celebrated for their vibrant blooms. Some types exhibit an upright and bushy growth habit, while others gracefully trail and cascade, making them perfect for hanging baskets. These plants typically flaunt deep green, heavily veined leaves that are often serrated at the edges and grow in whorls along their stems. Fuchsias bloom predominantly from late spring to early winter, displaying their signature pendulous teardrop flowers. In tropical regions, certain varieties may even bloom year-round. The flowers come in a beautiful array of colors, including red, white, pink, and purple, often featuring striking bi-colored patterns. When it comes to planting Fuchsias, they thrive in sheltered spots with partial shade, especially where they can catch the gentle morning sun. It's essential to keep them protected from frost and strong winds for optimal growth.
