Description

Buxus microphylla japonica

Japanese Box is a hardy evergreen compact shrub with dark green oval foliage when mature, its new growth being a light green colour. Japanese Box is the best box hedge for warmer regions as it tolerates heat better than other Buxus plants. It is suitable for a full sun to part shade position and requires little water once established. Japanese Box are a traditional favourite, as they are perfect for formal evergreen hedges. Small glossy green foliage on a compact dense shrub, make them perfect for clipping or topiary. Buxus japonica can grow in full shade but will take much longer to establish. This plant has a moderate growth rate growing to approximately 1m in height. Plant 25cm apart  - 4 per meter for an optimum hedge. 3''/7cm pot

Quercus coccinea 'Scarlet Oak'

This lovely sturdy Oak is popular due to its spectacular Autumn display when the dark green foliage turns to shades of orange, bronze and brilliant red, displaying more intense colour in colder environments. It holds its foliage, sometimes into early Winter, and in Spring will produce acorns when the tree is mature. Similar to the Red Oak and Pin Oak, but generally preferred for its more brilliant Autumn display. Growing to around 12 metres, it would be best suited to a large garden and would look stunning as an avenue planting. It requires a position in full sun to part shade and is fairly adaptable to its surrounding environment.
Olea europeana  Dwarf Olive Garden Harvest is a self-pollinating variety producing medium sized fruits that are suitable for both table and oil use. Olive trees are attractive evergreen shrubs or small trees with silver-grey foliage. They are also ideal for screening and hedges or feature plants. Requires a position in full sun, and can tolerate many soil conditions, droughts and frosts when established. 6''/14cm pot
