The Red Robin Photinia is a hardy, evergreen shrub that can be spotted from miles away with it's vibrant red new growth, which is even brighter than other varieties of Photinia. The ‘Red Robin’ variety has smaller and more vibrant leaves than the regular "robusta" Photinias, creating a wonderfully compact and dense hedge. This makes it excellent for screening, as a wind break or even a clipped topiary shrub.
Photinias are a sturdy plant in general that can be trimmed as a medium or tall hedge, looking quite striking when trimmed into a formal hedge. Photinia produces small, white clusters of flowers in the spring. Suited to Formal or Cottage gardens.
Photinia Red Robin grows to about 3-4m and 2m wide.
