Mature growth: 10cm tall x 40cm wide. | Rhaphiolepis indica
Snow Pearl is a compact, dense evergreen shrub that rarely grows to more than 1 metre high and 1 metre wide. It produces gorgeous, fragrant, white flowers through autumn to late spring. Snow Pearl likes any well drained position. Makes a great seaside cottage plant.
- Drought tolerant
- Compact growth
- Attractive foliage and flowers
6"/14cm pot | Buxus sempervirens suffruticosa
A glossy green, rounded leaf box hedging plant
• Used for low to medium hedging and topiary
• Planted in the garden, along borders, pathways and in pots
• Tolerates shady positions | Pittosporum tenuifolium
Wonder Screen is a new form of Pittosporum that is noted for its dense and tighter habit. Similar to 'Silver Sheen' foliage it produces a striking mix of silver and green with dark stems. Although this variety is tolerant of most soil types it prefers a well drained soil in a full sun to semi shade position. Grows to approximately 2-4m in height. |
| Content | | Rhaphiolepis indica
The attractive glossy foliage is dark green in colour and contrasts well with the massed display of flowers. Grows in full sun to partial shade with best flowers produced in full sun. Hardy and adaptable to most soils but prefers enriched, well-drained soils and appreciates an application of chunky mulch. Resistant to salt spray, and once established (with early good watering) will withstand dry conditions for extended periods. Is heat and frost tolerant to a degree. Excellent choice for pots, low hedging, massed planting in shrubberies or around pools. | If your looking for a small hedging plant then this is the one for you. Dutch Box is a dwarf box that grows with dense, glossy green foliage and works well in shaded areas.
Dutch Box also likes part shade in moist, well-drained soil, but will tolerate a wide range of soils and conditions. It should be clipped to maintain a formal shape.
Slight yellow discolouration of the leaves on Dutch box may occur during cooler months, but don't worry, this is normal! This is remedied by applying with Dolomite Lime, and a slow release fertilizer a month later. Or you can just leave your Dutch Box alone and it will come back lovely and green and spring.
