DescriptionOriganum syriaca Oregano Za’atar is a small, woody perennial with an upright growing habit with soft green-grey aromatic leaves. This herb grows naturally in Israel, Jordan and surrounding countries. Za’atar is the Arabic name for Oreganum syriacum and the plant has a long history, including recorded use in Ancient Egypt. Other common names include Wild Za’atar, Wild Middle Eastern Oregano, Wild Thyme, or Lebanese Oregano. Oregano also has powerful healing properties including use as a painkiller, anti-septic and anti-inflammatory. 4"/10cm pot

Ocimum basilicum

Purple Ruffles has handsome dark purple-black fringed foliage that is heavily ruffled and fringed, it produces spikes of large and showy, pinkish-purple flowers. While it deserves a place in your kitchen garden, it also makes an excellent contrasting plant in a border. One taste of this variety will have you tearing the leaves off by the armful. The colourful leaves are full of flavour, aromatic when crushed and are especially fine for herb vinegars and for garnishing. Tolerates a little shade, especially in the afternoon but make sure you give it plenty of sunlight. 4''/10cm pot
