Michelia or Magnolia doltsopa is commonly called the (Himalayan) Evergreen Magnolia.
It has long oval dark green leaves with a fury feeling on the back, and stunning fragrant creamy white flowers that open from up from spring. It is a fantastic specimen for hedging and screening or even as a feature tree due to its growth habit, it grows slender but will spread with age. It is a fast grower, requires full sun to part shade, needs well drained humus, slighty acidic soil. Mature growth: 9m x 6m wide.
