However, when planted in partial shade the plant will produce trendils and become a climber. This variety produces delicate creamy-pink flowers during the warmer months. Cream Pink can flower all year round when planted in tropical areas. Ideal for growing on over fences, carports and verandahs. It also makes a fantastic potted feature for a patio or alfresco area. 6" pot size. | Cotinus Coggygria, SmoketreePurple Smoke Bush is a gem in the garden thanks to it's unique blend of colours that change throughout the seasons. A large deciduous shrub or small tree, its beautiful eye-catching Spring foliage is green overlaid with purple. Summer brings deep purple foliage that then turns deep orange and bronze in a burst of glory for an Autumn show. Purple Smokebush gets its name from the clouds of smoke-like purple and pink "flowers" it produces in early Summer. These are very beautiful themselves, and are prized along with the foliage by florists. They are sensitive to cold so an only be grown outdoors in warmer climates where they will grow in full or part sun and tolerate heat and neglect. The interesting foliage makes them useful as feature plants, they are often grown in low water and low maintenance gardens, in pots along borders and edges. In cooler climates they can be grown indoors either alone or with other indoor plants with contrasting foliage. They prefer bright indirect sunlight but will tolerate lower light levels.
