Description

Malus purpurea

The Purple Crab Apple makes a handsome small tree, quite round topped in maturity. With beautiful flowers which are a deep, red-purple colour creating an effect that looks almost unbelievably rich. A great specimen tree, in Autumn the Purple Crab Apple has dark purple fruit and leaves which turn shades of yellow and red. 13" pot size.

Quercus robur

English Oaks are famous for being solid and strong. The trunk and secondary branches are very solid and are covered in thick blackish-grey bark which makes it quite a sight. The autumn foliage is a rich, dark brown. As the foliage is smaller than other deciduous trees, fallen leaves are not particularly difficult to eliminate and will not clog drains. 10"/25cm pot

Callistemon "Candy Pink"

Candy Pink is a medium shrub that is incredibly adaptable. Its large flower spikes are a lovely dark pink colour and are borne in flushes virtually all year round after a flush of new growth happens. Candy Pink requires low maintenance and is suitable for coastal gardens. It is drought resistant. Likes a position of full sunlight to light shade. 6" pot size.

Acmena smithii 'Sublime'

Sublime Lilly Pillies are a lovely mid-sized hedging or screening tree with lime coloured new growth rather than the traditional red of other lilly pillies. This means it purely a lush green in varying shades throughout the year. It also bears masses of white flowers that appear in Summer and develops deep reddish berries. Best placed in a position of full sun to partial shade, like all lilly pillies "Sublime" is hardy and drought and cold tolerant. Grows to around 5m as a screen, or 2m clipped to a hedge. 12"/30cm pot

Lavandula angustifolia

Munstead Lavender is a dwarf-rounded bush with aromatic grey-green foliage. It produces dense spikes of aromatic beautiful tiny purple to violet flowers during summer. These are lighter in colour than Hidcote Lavender, and the plant grows slightly larger. 8" pot size
