Elite is best placed in full sunlight but can cope with partial shade. Requires medium maintenance. It is a fast-growing tree with many uses such as a hedge, windbreak or specimen tree to add some interest to the garden. | Gardenia jasminoides 'Star'Gardenia Grandiflora Star is a stunning variety of gardenia with a slight difference. It's heavily scented white flowers fan out in a star shape with a little yellow centre. This little shrub from Japan only grows to approximately 50cm tall! It requires a moist, slightly acidic soil that drains well. Like many gardenia, it requires shelter from heat (no afternoon summer sun!), frost and dry winds.
