Description

Syringa vulgaris 'Congo' Lilac

'Congo' lilacs are a rich dark purple coloured flower with a wonderful scent. They make a colourful feature plant or garden filler and can even be grown in pots. Lilacs prefer full sun to part shade position in well drained soil with a slightly alkaline pH. They grow anywhere between 2 to 4 metres tall, but can be trimmed to suit your needs. 8"/20cm pot size

Acer palmatum var. dissectum atropurpureum 'Ever Red'

Ever Red is a vigorous weeping Maple with a more horizontal habit. In Spring the fine foliage is purple, with a silvery halo of silken hairs, creating a wonderful contrast. In Autumn the leaves turn bright red before falling.

Polygala myrtifolia x dalmaisiana

Polygala Dazzler is a shrub that originates from South Africa and has attractive, almost year round, purple pea-like flowers on light green foliage. It makes a great flowering hedge. Polygala Dazzler prefers a well-drained position, but tolerates poor soils, frost and dry conditions. Pruning in early Spring will encourage bushiness and flowers. Best feed regularly with a slow release fertiliser. 10" pot size.

Lavandula angustifolia "Hidcote"

Hidcote Lavender is a dwarf bush with aromatic silver-green leaves bearing slender spikes of dark purple-blue flowers during spring and summer. The flowers are darker in colour than Munstead lavendar, and Hidcote does not grow as tall. 6" pot size, approximately 8-20cm in height.
