| Description | Allocasuarina torulosaThe Forest Sheoak is a hardy native Australian tree with a light brown bark with deep fissures. The leaves are thin green needles like a pine tree. A good garden specimen. Male Forest Sheoak trees have gold flowers in Autumn and the female have rounded warty cones. In Winter the branches turn a beautiful copper colour. Sheoaks are good for windbreaks and screening. | Malus domestica 'Red Delicious' Apple treeRed Delicious apples are the big shiny solid red apple you see in every supermarket year round. However, a home grown Red Delicious apple far surpasses these in quality and taste. The fruit is very sweet and good for eating. Remember that apple trees need to be planted near other apple trees so that they can polinate eachother and produce fruit. Ideal companions for Red Delicious apple trees are Gala, Granny Smith, Jonathon, Pink Lady and Fuji. This is because they all flower at a similar time. 7''/18cm pot | |
