Description

Gardenia augusta

Florida is one of the best gardenias available, producing masses of perfumed flowers on a hardy plant.

  • Beautifully scented
  • Prolific flowering
  • Great for low landscaping

Cotinus Coggygria, Smoketree

Purple Smoke Bush is a gem in the garden thanks to it's unique blend of colours that change throughout the seasons. A large deciduous shrub or small tree, its beautiful eye-catching Spring foliage is green overlaid with purple. Summer brings deep purple foliage that then turns deep orange and bronze in a burst of glory for an Autumn show. Purple Smokebush gets its name from the clouds of smoke-like purple and pink "flowers" it produces in early Summer. These are very beautiful themselves, and are prized along with the foliage by florists. Grows best in full sun to partial shade and it is tolerant of drought and most soils, making it a great addition to many gardens. 10" pot size.

Cedrela sinensis (syn. Toona sinensis)

Also known as the Chinese Toon Tree, this fabulous feature tree is fast and narrow growing, making it perfect for tight spaces. • Bright pink new growth in the spring, making it stand out from everything else • Leaves gradually fade from pink to cream and finally to green • Grows best in moist, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade 8"/20cm pot size.

Gaura lindheimeri "Butterfly Bush"

Butterfly Bush is a bushy, hardy perennial shrub with long graceful stems that bloom with pale pink flowers in spring-summer. These stems grow up to 1m long, but can be clipped back shorter, and sway gracefully in the breeze. The name of a popular variety, Whirling Butterflies, perfectly describes the way the plant resembles a cloud of butterflies when swaying in the breeze. 6" pot size.

Rosa hybrid tea

Mr Lincoln is a beautifully high held, vigorous rose with bright red petals and a strong sweet fragrance. Fantastic for bouquets and cut flowers, mass planting, rose & cottage gardens. Place in well drained soil, in a full sun position. Available in many variations. 8"/20cm pot size, approximately 2ft in height.

Acer buergerianum

The Trident Maple is a small to medium-sized deciduous tree, appreciated internationally for its ability to grow into a trouble-free tree that is also highly drought tolerant. It produces broad, hard, shiny rich dark green "three-pronged" leaves.

The flowers that it bears in spring are a yellow-green colour and are small, similar to other maples. Makes a good street tree, and grows to around 12 meters. For an avenue we recommend planting 5m apart, or for a screen 2.5m apart.

ContentGardenias are warm climate plants, which are at their best in a mild, humid climate. They are seen to perfection in frost-free areas north of Sydney and Perth, but will grow in cooler areas like Melbourne in a warmer, protected position.Roses are easily one of the most popular and widely cultivated groups of flowering plants. Numerous different cultivars have been produced over the last two centuries although roses have been grown for millennia before their popularity bloomed. Renown for their flowers and beauty they are also loved for other reasons such as their fruit, the rose hip which can be made into an old fashioned jam or for garden uses such as ground covers and hedging. Roses range in size and variety from your standard and bush roses right up there with your climbers and weeping varieties, amongst all their beautiful colour, variety and hardy nature there is bound to be the perfect rose out there for your garden.
