| Description | Phoenix roebelenii 'Pygmy Date Palm'Date Palms feature an interesting, classic palm trunk that forms and grows larger as it matures. They have a crown of elegant dark green lacy fronds cascading from the top of this. A mature Date Palm will reach 2-3 meters tall. Old, dead fronds are best pruned off to expose the trunk as the tree ages and to keep it neat. The Date Palm is another good plant for creating a tropical feel in the garden which does well down South. | Gordonia yunnanensis Silk Screen is an evergreen tree covered in large beautiful foliage. It's new leaves emerge as a rich deep royal red colour. White flowers in winter have showy yellow stamens. Silk Screen is an excellent specimen tree or large screen. Grows best in an open sunny position or partial shade. This plant is suited for most types of soil. Requires moderate watering during it's growing season. | |||||||||
