Ideal for hedges, borders or screening. It is particulary hardy and will cope with coastal conditions as well as a hot, dry location, but does not cope with humidity. Frost hardy and drought tolerant once established. Plant 70cm apart for hedges and borders. 6" pot size, approximately 15-25cm in height. | Buxus microphylla 'Korean Box'Korean Box is a fantastic compact shrub with dark oval leaves. It's the perfect drought tolerant hedge, it has a higher tolerance to heat than other varieties of Box hedges, requiring little water once established. It does best is full sun however it can tolerate part shade just as well. Korean Box has a fine leaf, and is low and slow growing. This plant has a moderate growth rate that grows to approximately 50-60cm in height. Plant every 20cm - 5 per meter for an optimum hedge. 8" pot size, approximately 15-20cm in height. | Rosa floribundaFriesia Rose is an upright growing, compact bush with large amounts of double flowers with a strong fragrance and showy bright yellow colour. They get their name from their exotic blue/orange flowers that resemble the head of a colourful tropical bird. Bird of Paradise have large, lush foliage and look great when used in rockeries and interplanted with yuccas and agaves. Great for creating a tropical feel in the garden. We refer to these as "Flowering Bird of Paradise" or Strelitzia Bird of Paradise (a bit of a mouthful that comes from their botanical name) because there is another variety of Bird of Paradise called Giant Bird of Paradise. These have much bigger leaves, are taller growing, and are often planted together with Flowering Bird of Paradise to create a multi-layered, tropic garden effect even as far south as Melbourne.
