Description

Ulmus parvifolia

The bark of the Chinese Elm is a real stand out feature, as the tree sheds it in patches, creating the effect of a tapestry of varying browns and greys. Foliage is lush, shiny and green, and the tree is semi deciduous, turning golden in autumn, and keeping its leaves in warmer areas. It has also been noted by many Aussie gardeners in recent years that native birds enjoy the fruit of the Chinese Elm.

Alygoyne huegelii 'West Coast Gem'

The Native Hibiscus is West Australian native flowering shrub with fury, green foliage and big mauve flowers appearing in late Spring to late Summer. They are a great low maintenance plants. While Lilac Hibiscus can grow to 2.5 meters, they respond very well to regular haircuts to train them into more compact, smaller shrubs. Lilac Hibiscus is best grown in full sun light to partial shade and moist well drained soils. Tolerates dry conditions once established.
