The name of a popular variety, Whirling Butterflies, perfectly describes the way the plant resembles a cloud of butterflies when swaying in the breeze. 6" pot size. | Phoenix roebelenii 'Pygmy Date Palm'Date Palms feature an interesting, classic palm trunk that forms and grows larger as it matures. They have a crown of elegant dark green lacy fronds cascading from the top of this. A mature Date Palm will reach 2-3 meters tall. Old, dead fronds are best pruned off to expose the trunk as the tree ages and to keep it neat.
