| Description | Plectranthus caninusDogbane is a perennial herb from the mint family, which grows to about 15cm high, 30cm when in flower. When crushed, leaves have a very strong aroma, however dogs and cats are said to be able to smell the aroma from intact leaves and be repelled from the plant. This herb is also know as "scaredy cat plant". This plant prefers full sun to part shade, but may need more shade in very hot areas. If there is too much shade the plant becomes "leggy" with less foliage. It's frost tender so it needs a warm protected position to protect it from frost and hot sun, it's not suited to open conditions. Water young plants regularly, and once established older plants will tolerate short dry periods. It flowers in spring and summer. And this plant is also recommended for use as an insect repellent. | Cymbopogon citratusLemongrass grows in a clumping manner with long bulbous stems made up of many overlapping leaf blades. It's not a very attractive plant; its value lies in the lemon scent that it produces. Requires little maintenance. Great for cooking! 6"/14cm pot size. | CallistemonCallistemon Injune is a pink flowering Callistemon that grows to 2-3 meters high, making it a great screening plant or small feature tree. It blooms in spring and often again in summer or autumn, the flowers fading to cream. Like all callistemons, Callistemon Injune is great for attracting birds to the garden. | Betula pendula 'Dalecarlica' The Cut-Leaf Birch is a very graceful tree with distinctive feathery foliage and fine white bark. It is slender and graceful enough to be a part of a small garden without appearing too dominant, and is also effective in larger areas planted alone or in groups. A moderate growing and medium sized tree, ideal for either a small garden setup or even a larger forest-like vista, this tree will grow well in most soils in a sunny to part shade position.
