| Description | Banksia integrifoliaBanksia integrifolia or ‘Coastal Banksia’ is a hardy native found down the Eastern coastline of Australia. Often seen in windswept and sculptural shapes along beach fronts, when placed in a less hostile environment, they can become quite beautiful, bushy specimen plants. They grow anywhere between 4m - 10m and 1m - 5m wide, depending on their environment. During autumn and winter their yellow flowers form into large cones, rich with nectar. These stunning flowers attract lots of bird life, particularly cockatoos and honey-eaters. Coastal Banksia is a slow grower and can handle a wide range of soil types. 10" pot size. | Quercus roburEnglish Oaks are famous for being solid and strong. The trunk and secondary branches are very solid and are covered in thick blackish-grey bark which makes it quite a sight. The autumn foliage is a rich, dark brown. As the foliage is smaller than other deciduous trees, fallen leaves are not particularly difficult to eliminate and will not clog drains. 10"/25cm pot | Thuja plicata fastigiataWestern Red Cedar is a relatively fast grower, reaching approximately 5m in the first 10 years. It is noted for its mid green horizontal branchlets that droop slightly and the lush, cedar scented foliage. This is ideal for creating a privacy screen or windbreak in a small space as it will reach a width of only 1.5 metres. It has a compact conical, upright growth habit and responds well to pruning. This evergreen performs best when planted in a full sunlight to partial shade location. 8"/20cm pot size. | ||||||||||
