It has fragrant cream flowers that appear in spring. Situate this variety in a half sun position for best results. | Santolina chamaecyparissusLavender Cotton has been used as a low border shrub or hedge for centuries. As a decorative element in the garden it is particularly stunning because of its silver-grey foliage. Lavender Cotton grows to about 50cm in height and the same in diameter. It looks wonderful left to sprawl informally, or clipped to a more formal shape. Lavender Cotton likes dry conditions, so it grows best in full sun in soil that is allowed to dry occasionally.
