Description

Washingtonia robusta

Common names: Mexican Cotton Fan Palm, Mexican Fan Palm, Mexican washingtonia, Washingtonia palm. The Mexican Cotton Fan Palm is a medium-tall sized palm originating from Mexico. It can reach a mature height of 7m in Victoria's climate. It has large fan like fronds with remnant threads of foliage that appear like ‘cotton’ hanging from between frond segments. It is tough, drought and frost tolerant when established! It is a perfect addition for features and tropical gardens. 100 litre pot.

Pinus parviflora 'Fukai'

This unusual form of the "Japanese White Pine" has strong creamy-gold banding on the new growth. The colour slowly changes to the typical blue-grey colour in autumn and winter. It is a slow grower, eventually forming a broad upright and spreading habit. It could reach at least one metre in the first 10 years. It is best when grown in an open, sunny position. It can be used as a very attractive pot plant. 8'' pot

Phoenix roebelenii 'Pygmy Date Palm'

Date Palms feature an interesting, classic palm trunk that forms and grows larger as it matures. They have a crown of elegant dark green lacy fronds cascading from the top of this. A mature Date Palm will reach 2-3 meters tall. Old, dead fronds are best pruned off to expose the trunk as the tree ages and to keep it neat. The Date Palm is another good plant for creating a tropical feel in the garden which does well down South.

Banksia marginata 'Silver Banksia'

A classic woody native Australian shrub, Banksias are great for a low maintenance garden and create interest with their recognizable flower cones. Silver Banksias will grow to the size of a large shrub and and good for screening. They're also great for coastal areas, as they're naturally found by the sea and tolerate sand and salt. 10" pot size.
