Description

Rubus x idaeus

Nootka Raspberries produce a full and heavy crop mid Summer and again in Autumn which allows you access to fresh, delicious raspberries more often!  Growing to approx. 1.2m tall x .5 wide, they prefer a sunny position, with a rich, well drained soil and good Summer watering, and also grow well in pots or tubs.  Get the kids to help gather the fruit and they will not be able to resist sneaking a few into their mouths for a boost of Vitamin C!

Erigeron karvinskianus

Daisy Spray or Seaside Daisy is a hardy perennial shrub with little daisy flowers of pink and white. • Only grows 15cm tall! • Perfect for borders, pots and the cottage style garden • Tolerates heat, drought, poor soils and frost

Strelitzia reginae

Exotic blue and orange flowers in the shape of a bird give this plant its name, Bird of Paradise.

• Tropical looking broad round leaves • Looks great in pots, along fence lines and in poolside gardens • Tolerates drought, light frost and poor soils

ContentDaisy Spray Erigeron is a superior form of the Seaside Daisy, Erigeron karvinskianus, that will grow into a compact mound 60 cm in diameter and 40 cm tall. Daisy Spray Erigeron retains its compact shape & dosen’t self-sow and spread throughout the garden. Daisy Spray Erigeron’s soft pink & white daisy flowers are borne in a densely massed profusion for most of the year. Take a look at our fact sheet on Daisy Spray to find out more information.

Bird of Paradise are native to South Africa, and are very hardy and can be grown in full sun to part shade. They get their name from their exotic blue/orange flowers that resemble the head of a colourful tropical bird.

Bird of Paradise have large, lush foliage and look great when used in rockeries and interplanted with yuccas and agaves. Great for creating a tropical feel in the garden.

We refer to these as "Flowering Bird of Paradise" or Strelitzia Bird of Paradise (a bit of a mouthful that comes from their botanical name) because there is another variety of Bird of Paradise called Giant Bird of Paradise. These have much bigger leaves, are taller growing, and are often planted together with Flowering Bird of Paradise to create a multi-layered, tropic garden effect even as far south as Melbourne.
