| Description | Beaucarnea recurvata
The Ponytail Palm is an evergreen minature tree that is native to semi-desert areas of certain South American countries. It is commonly grown as a houseplant and not only has aesthetic foliage but also produces creamy white flowers.
Pony Tail Palms are noted for having a large, swollen, water-retaining base. Its trunk bears thin, flat, palm-like leaves. It is drought tolerant and is best placed in a position of full sunlight. Requires low maintenance. | Lavandula angustifolia
Munstead Lavender is a dwarf-rounded bush with aromatic grey-green foliage. It produces dense spikes of aromatic beautiful tiny purple to violet flowers during summer. These are lighter in colour than Hidcote Lavender, and the plant grows slightly larger.

Escallonia Iveyi is a quick growing, evergreen plant with fragrant white flowers in summer. Ideal for hedges, borders or screening.
It is particulary hardy and will cope with coastal conditions as well as a hot, dry location, but does not cope with humidity. Frost hardy and drought tolerant once established. Plant 70cm apart for hedges and borders.

A classic woody native Australian shrub, Banksias are great for a low maintenance garden and create interest with their recognizable flower cones.
