| Description | Malus domesticaGranny Smith apples are the green apple of Aussie choice, originating in Australia. While we eat them raw by the bucketload, they're really best as a cooking apple and a key ingredient of Apple Crumble. Granny Smith apples also make great cider. Remember that apple trees need to be planted near other apple trees so that they can pollinate each other and produce fruit. Ideal companions for Granny Smith apple trees are Snow, Fuji and Pink Lady. This is because they all flower at a similar time. 8''/20cm pot - approx 5ft tall! | Syringa vulgaris'Katherine Havemeyer' is a late Spring bloomer with abundant blossoms of purple, pink and lavender which put on a wonderful display. It is an upright, deciduous shrub which is densely packed with beautifully fragrant double blossoms. They grow best in a full sun to part shade position and can also be grown in pots. They generally grow to between 2 - 3m but can be trimmed to suit. | |
