| Description | Cupressocyparis leylandii 'Castlewellan Gold'
Large, dense hedging plant for medium to large properties
- Very hardy once established
- Easy to maintain & shape
- Brilliant gold colour
| Hydrangea macrophylla 'Saturn'
Saturn hydrangea is a ‘mop head’ form with bi-color umbels. It is part of the ‘Star Line’ selection from Europe. Each sepal has a deep crimson centre with a thick white margin. Like most of the mop heads the color can be changed by creating an acidic soil. Saturn, like most Hydrangeas, are tolerant of most frosts and coastal conditions. They will grow in full sun but need to be kept well watered and prefer part shade to filtered sun. Plants can be dead headed when finished flowering but if in heavy frost areas it is best to leave the flowers on until late Winter. It likes a good feed with Osmocote in Spring. If the bush requires a prune, remove the oldest stems from the base and allow the new young ones to grow away. The Saturn Hydrangea grows to around 1m high and produces masses of flowers in mid Summer. | Rhapis excelsa
The Lady Palm is a relatively cold-tolerant palm and will grow well in frost-free temperate climates. They grow best in semi-shaded parts of the garden and indoors. Lady Palms are easy to grow and are quite slow growing. This means they can remain in the same pot for long periods of time.
Lady Palms are ideal as indoor plants, providing greenery and life indoors. They are also excellent air purifiers.

12"/30cm pot size. | Banksia ericifolia 'Little Eric'
A terrific hardy small shrub which can be used for low hedging and screening as well as a lovely feature plant, and does well in coastal gardens. It has attractive orange flowers with maroon styles and whitish perianth from winter through spring, and they are highly attractive to large and small honey eating birds and insects. It suits a wide range of conditions and soils, including dry and partly shaded spots, where it will still flower. It is a very easy care plant. It can also be pruned into a more dense shape, this is best done in autumn and after flowering. It is a more compact form of Banksia ericifolia.

| Content | Need a plant perfect for hedging? Castlewellan Gold Conifer is an evergreen conifer plant that produces stunning golden-yellow foliage. Ideal for improving privacy, it thrives well in almost every condition including wind and dry spells.
The Conifer Castlewellan Gold is a highly popular, fast-growing hedging plant that gets its name from its golden foliage, achieved by planting in full sun. It can grow up to 10 meters tall in 5 years on a rural property. However for the urban block they are easily maintained at a height of 3m, perfect for hedging, avenues, and windbreaks. Recommended planting is 1.5m apart for dense hedging. It is very tough and hardy and will cope with extended dry periods and extreme cold once established.
The Castlewellan Gold Conifer plant requires continuous care as it tends to grow very quickly. However, its growth can be easily regulated with regular trimming plus, along with Leighton Green conifers they are one of the most neat and dense hedges around. | | | |
