Description

Pyrus calleryana 'Bradford'

The original ornamental pear from which all other ornamental pears were scioned. • Spring blossoms on bare branches • Vibrant autumnal colours of red, orange and purple • Ideal for rural properties or as a shade tree Bradford Pears are becoming superseded by newer varieties that are far less affected by strong winds and are more structural sound.   For more information on Ornamental Pears see our Pyrus - Ornamental Pear Factsheet

Ficus obliqua 'Figaro'

'Figaro' is the naturally compact, low growing form of Ficus. This evergreen little shrub produces thick, glossy green leaves and minimal to no flowers in the cooler climates. It is incredibly hardy once established, even tolerating frosts and coastal conditions whilst maintaining its tropical look. See our Ficus Hedging & Screening Factsheet here for more about the different Ficus varieties!

Wisteria floribunda (syn. W. longissima)

Wisteria 'Longissima' or Japanese Blue Wisteria is arguably the most impressive variety due to it's stunning, extra long pale purple flowers, which can reach lengths of 1m!  These sweetly scented flowers are produced in late spring to early summer along with the leaves, and are quite spectacular. Also happy to grow in pots, they are quite hardy but will require solid support.
