It's known for its impressive yield, featuring large, light-colored kernels that boast a mild, buttery taste. The shells are easy to crack and well-sealed, making it a favorite in commercial production, especially in cooler climates with ample chill hours. This tree is a strong grower and is typically late to leaf out, which helps reduce the risk of frost. Although it often benefits from a pollinator to achieve optimal yields, it does have some self-fertile capabilities. | prunus serrulata 'Cheals''Cheals' Weeping Cherry bloom double petal pink blossoms which absolutely cover the bare, loosely hanging branches, and hold until the leaves emerge. Bronze new growth mature to green in summer and when autumn comes around the tree is awash with autumnal colour. Best used as a feature in a large pot or in the garden and kept out of the wind so as to retain the blossoms and autumn leaves for longer.
