| Description | Solanum betaceum Ecuadorian Orange Tamarillo produces small, teardrop-shaped fruit with glossy, smooth, orange skin and flesh containing small, soft edible seeds. The skin is thin and far too bitter to be eaten. When ripe, the flesh is bright, sweet-tart, and piquant in flavour. It prefers a sheltered spot with well-drained soil. Tamarillos are an excellent source of vitamins A and C to boost collagen production within the skin, reduce inflammation, and strengthen the immune system. 6"/14cm pot | ||
