| Description | Hydrangea macrophylla 'Saturn'
Saturn hydrangea is a ‘mop head’ form with bi-color umbels. It is part of the ‘Star Line’ selection from Europe. Each sepal has a deep crimson centre with a thick white margin. Like most of the mop heads the color can be changed by creating an acidic soil. Saturn, like most Hydrangeas, are tolerant of most frosts and coastal conditions. They will grow in full sun but need to be kept well watered and prefer part shade to filtered sun. Plants can be dead headed when finished flowering but if in heavy frost areas it is best to leave the flowers on until late Winter. It likes a good feed with Osmocote in Spring. If the bush requires a prune, remove the oldest stems from the base and allow the new young ones to grow away. The Saturn Hydrangea grows to around 1m high and produces masses of flowers in mid Summer. | Rosa hybrid tea
Mr Lincoln is a beautifully high held, vigorous rose with bright red petals and a strong sweet fragrance. Fantastic for bouquets and cut flowers, mass planting, rose & cottage gardens. Place in well drained soil, in a full sun position. Available in many variations.
8"/20cm pot size, approximately 3ft in height. | Banksia marginata 'Silver Banksia'
A classic woody native Australian shrub, Banksias are great for a low maintenance garden and create interest with their recognizable flower cones. Silver Banksias will grow to the size of a large shrub and and good for screening. They're also great for coastal areas, as they're naturally found by the sea and tolerate sand and salt.
10" pot size. | Rosa Hybrid Tea
Double Delight has bushy growth and large masses of double blooms. They stand out with their creamy white petals centered with yellow, featuring a red trim! Repeat flowering and fragrant. Requires little maitenance when established.
8''/20cm pot - approx 3ft tall (90cm) | Choisya ternata
Mexican Orange Blossom is so named as it's flowers are of a similar nature and scent to an orange tree! The foliage is a mid to light green and is covered with masses of scented white flowers through Spring and Summer.
This attractive shrub will grow to approx. 1.5 - 2m, but is happy to be clipped to suit. As a result it can be also used as a hedge or screen. It is best grown in full sun or part shade and is reasonably frost tolerant. |
