Description

Fragaria x ananassa

Red Gauntlet Strawberries are a Scottish variety that suits the cooler Melbourne climate. They feature an extraordinarily long fruiting season from October to May, and produce a good crop of fruit (they are often used for commercial growing for this reason) Hanging Basket

Pittosporum tenuifolium

Tasman Ruffles is an evergreen shrub which displays jade green foliage with pretty, ruffled edges, hence its name. The foliage contrasts beautifully with the dark reddish black stems and has an overall compact growth habit. A tidy, low maintenance variety predominantly used for hedging as it is easy to clip and maintain, but with the ability to grow to 3 metres in height, it also makes a great screen.

Plectranthus plepalila

Mona Lavender (Spur flower) is an attractive plant that does not spread like other members of the family, but forms a neat shrub with an upright, erect habit. Numerous spikes of white-coloured flowers begin to appear from late Summer through Autumn complementing the ornamental foliage of deep green leaves with dark purple coloured undersides. This fast-growing plant is best placed in a full sun to part shade location. 7"/18cm pot

Rhaphiolepis indica

Oriental Pearl is a compact, dense evergreen shrub that rarely grows to more than 1 metre high and 1 metre wide. It produces gorgeous fragrant, white flowers through autumn to late spring. Oriental Pearl likes any well drained position. Makes a great seaside cottage plant. Tip: If you are looking for an identical substitute, use Rhaphiolepis Spring Pearl.

Erigeron karvinskianus

Daisy Spray or Seaside Daisy is a hardy perennial shrub with little daisy flowers of pink and white. • Only grows 15cm tall! • Perfect for borders, pots and the cottage style garden • Tolerates heat, drought, poor soils and frost 6"/14cm pot size

Rhaphiolepis indica 'Oriental Pearl' Indian Hawthorn

The attractive glossy foliage is dark green in colour and contrasts well with the massed display of flowers. Grows in full sun to partial shade with best flowers produced in full sun. Hardy and adaptable to most soils but prefers enriched, well-drained soils and appreciates an application of chunky mulch. Resistant to salt spray, and once established (with early good watering) will withstand dry conditions for extended periods. Is heat and frost tolerant to a degree. Excellent choice for pots, low hedging, massed planting in shrubberies or around pools.
Seaside Daisy, Erigeron karvinskianus, that will grow into a compact mound 60 cm in diameter and 40 cm tall. Daisy Spray Erigeron retains its compact shape & dosen’t self-sow and spread throughout the garden. Daisy Spray Erigeron’s soft pink & white daisy flowers are borne in a densely massed profusion for most of the year. Take a look at our fact sheet on Daisy Spray to find out more information.
