Osmanthus heterophyllus variegata 

False Holly is a small, evergreen shrub with a habit of many erect branches which form a nice, tidy mound. It displays leather like foliage which have spiked edges and are dark green in the center and creamy-white on the fringes. False Holly makes an excellent hedge or border plant. Loves both full sunlight and part shade. This plant gives a year round interest. It is slow growing, reaching a height of 4-5ft. 6"/14cm pot

Phoenix roebelenii 'Pygmy Date Palm'

Date Palms feature an interesting, classic palm trunk that forms and grows larger as it matures. They have a crown of elegant dark green lacy fronds cascading from the top of this. A mature Date Palm will reach 2-3 meters tall. Old, dead fronds are best pruned off to expose the trunk as the tree ages and to keep it neat. The Date Palm is another good plant for creating a tropical feel in the garden which does well down South.

Furcraea Foetida Mediopicta "Mauritius Hemp"

Mauritius Hemp is a trunkless succulent which will grow to around 5 feet tall. This plant bears long sword-shaped foliage which is green and has a decorative cream band that runs down the middle of the leaf. Mauritius Hemp produces strongly-scented greenish-white flowers, these are bee attracting. Best placed in a position of full sunlight or partial shade. Has low water requirements. 24" pot size.

[one_half] [/one_half] [one_half_last] Box Leaf Privet is one of the most popular hedging plants as it grows all year round, it will grow in almost any soil or conditions, and if it is kept trimmed it looks as good or better than English Box. Box Leaved Privet loves hot sunny positions (they don’t do well in a shady corner) and almost any soil as long as it is moderately well drained. To create a dense bushy low hedge or border you only need to plant 4 plants per metre. Box Leaf Privet loves plenty of water, regular fertilising and regular trimming. Given these are provided, you will find that you can create a dense fine traditional or English Box style border in just one full growing season with very little cost.
