| Description | Acmena smithiiForest Flame is a very compact form of Acmena smithii that can easily be kept pruned under 1m. It produces glossy fine green leaves with attractive bright red new growth. If you keep it regularly trimmed will not produce berries. This variety prefers a full sun or part shade position for best results and becomes extremely frost hardy once established. Will tolerate dry conditions once established and is reasonably frost tolerant. 16"/40cm pot | Acer palmatum 'Arakawa'
Arakawa produces rough bark which shows up after several years of growth and becomes quite prominent as the maple ages. This variety is a vigorous grower that is also hardy. It produces a fantastic Autumn colour with foliage turning bright orange and red. Loves a position of full sun or part shade. Can tolerate cold temperates.
