Description

Malus domestica

Gala apples are bright red, often with a green or orange blush or stripes. They feature crisp flesh and are one of the classic red apples enjoyed around the world. Remember that apple trees need to be planted near other apple trees so that they can polinate eachother and produce fruit. Ideal companions for Gala apple trees are Golden Delicious. This is because they all flower at a similar time. 16"/40cm pot size The term 'Serpentine' describes the configuration of the espalier, characterised by a robust central leader that has been shaped into an 'S' form.

Calothamnus quadrifidus 

Common Net Bush (One sided bottlebrush) combines toughness with attractive flowers and foliage. It is noted for being a great hedge or general garden shrub that will attract nectar-feeding birds such as honey eaters. All it needs is a light trim to keep it flowering well and in a compact shape. Great for low maintenance gardens. This variety is drought tolerant. 6"/14cm pot

Bougainvillea glabra 'Scarlet O'Hara'

Scarlet O'Hara is a great plant to put on a spectacular show of colour and beauty in your garden. This evergreen, vigorous climber produces dark, wine red new growth. This variety is the ideal climbing plant for pergolas, fences, garages or any unsightly objects in your yard. Choose a warm, sunny site with well drained soil for this plant. Grows approximately H:2-4 Meters W:4-10 Meters 8" pot size.

Peperomia prostrata

White Carpet Rose

White Carpet Rose provides gorgeous blooms which have a long flowering period, it is an easy to care for plant, that have exceptional disease resistance and are drought tolerant. This variety is very tolerant of common rose blights such as black spot and mildew. Ideal for use in flowerbeds, mass plantings and large containers. Can grow in both full sunlight and partial shade. White Carpet produces flowers that produce a beautiful scent. This variety will grow to approximately 1m in height. Well suited to most soil types. 8" pot size.

Asplenium antiquum 'Victoria'

The Japanese Bird's Nest Fern is a rosette forming, evergreen fern that displays overlapping, solid, wavy fronds that resemble a birds nest. It will thrive in acidic, loose, richly organic soil which is moist but not waterlogged. It prefers bright, filtered sunlight and is excellent as a houseplant.

Callistemon Viminalis "Green John"

Green John has nice light green foliage which looks fantastic in contrast to older dark green mature foliage, its green foliage also compliments well with its red flowers. It is faster to grow and establish than other varieties. Will reach its full height potential when maintained, but will be smaller in tough roadside conditions. Produces red flowers during Spring. Green John is best grown in full sun to part shade. Suits sandy to well drained soils. Tolerant of drought and cold. Grows to approximately 1m in height. This low maintenance plant makes a grea feature plant or can be trimmed to a hedge. 6" pot size.
