6" pot size. | Diplotaxis tenuifloia, Perennial Wall Rocket, Wild Arugula
Wild rocket is flowering perennial in the mustard family, native to Europe and Western Asia. It is grown worldwide as a salad leaf, and it gives a distinctive taste and texture in salads, either alone or mixed with other baby leaf crops. Wild rocket has a stronger flavour than regular salad rocket.
Wild rocket grows in clumps and can grow to over 50cm in height, and has small yellow flowers. It prefers full sun to part shade, in moist well drained soil, and proves very hardy and drought tolerant once established. Also suitable for pots. Remove flowers before seeding to stop the plant spreading. Harvest or trim young leaves regularly to promote fresh growth. Watch out for snails and slugs, they love rocket!
